Black peplum & Pink lace

Sooo have you jumped on the peplum trend this year? I can't say that I have till now. My mom and I were hanging at TJ Max last week when I stumbled upon this cute peplum leather top! It's not real leather but for 20 beans I'm loving it! I decided today to wear it with this cute skirt that I got on clearance at Target a few weeks ago. You could just wear this in so many different ways!

 

 I love the zipper down the back..It completely comes apart so that makes it super easy to put on...or a fast getaway. Lol

It has definitely been one of those days today where I just can't seem to get anything done. I managed somehow to put my picture chip from my camera into the wrong slot in the computer..Oh goodie! So Ben had to retake these pics for me using my I Phone. Jeremy is going to be thrilled with that one. Hopefully we can figure out how to get it, but I think I lost it in there..  Jamison is back to not sleeping very well so maybe I could use a week of sleep or so? Hence the sunglasses;).

I evidently also got talked into doing some crazy marathon next month. My friends tend to do that to me after I've had a glass or two of wine. Such a stinkin light weight I am. So you may or may not see me again after August..lol. Fun pictures those will be! It has actually turned out to be a pretty eventful summer, so I am happy about that! School will be here in no time at all!

Anyways.. I will be back with more looks with my new cute peplum top. I keep thinking of all the fun ways I want to wear it. So stay tuned! Oh and if you are interested you can follow me on instagram brookie_trout3.

Evergreen Colorado

 This last week we headed up to evergreen to hang with family and play in the water ! We got married here at the lake house about well almost 15 years ago next month! I will definitely have to share some of those pics next month. But dang it is making me feel so old!

 I have really been wanting to try this! I have heard it is sooo much stinkin fun! I would have maybe that day if I was not trying to keep three kiddos from flinging themselves into the lake.

We have 18 frogs in our garage right now that they have been catching.... 

I decided that I must make my up to Upper Bear Creek road. This is Gorgeous up here and the houses are amazing! There are some famous people that have lived up here too ohh like Willie Nelson. ;)

Little Bear Bar is a pretty well know spot around these parts. I guess you could say it's famous around here! 

The town has changed so much since we have lived up here! Every time I make it up here it's like I'm singing memories to myself. So much happened in this little town in my family as I was growing up. When we drive around I always say to myself "yup that happened there ,we use to live there, my aunt lived there, that was my first job", lol. I love too how a lot of old places are still there . We actually used to live right up behind little Bear...when it caught fire. Our home turned out to be fine thankfully.

I often think to myself if I could still be sitting here at this spot where I use to hang as a teenager, what would I change? Would I have done things differently? I often probably the most think of the people I love and loved that I shared this beautiful little town with. Where are they today? How are they? I miss them.... "memories oh la la lala" Lol! If you ever are in Colorado you should definitely make your way up here!

OOTD Ralph Lauren

 Hi! We have been spending a lot of time with family lately and when we do we generally head on up to Evergreen where my aunt lives. It is just so nice to escape up to the mountains and see the deer and elk and just enjoy the awesome scenery! I was raised up here so I always love coming here. I feel like it is a mini vacation only about an hour and a half away... I had this outfit for awhile that I have wanted to do photos up here, but it figures I forgot half my jewelery! Lol! But I was pretty thrilled to find these awesome old as dirt cowboy boots in my aunts closet that actually fit me, so I guess it worked out pretty good! I was feelin a little Ralph Laurenish.. We actually got to spend some time on the lake where we got married too. I will be back this week to post more pics of Evergreen !

Hi there! I have been a little MIA lately..We have had a lot going on with my family in town, and sometimes I just need a break from the computer ya know?
I ordered this cute blouse off of Forever 21 a few weeks ago. So cute! I am loving it for summer! Seems to go with a lot! Now I am off to the mountains for a couple of days.. Hope you have a great day!

Hot pink lace

Hi There! Hope you guys had a great weekend! I was roaming around Target a few days ago, and came upon this skirt on clearance! I was pretty excited about it because I knew I could wear it a few different ways! I bought this top from Forever 21 a few weeks ago. But I tell ya girls it is sheer! You definitely have to wear something under it!

I love that it is lacy and hot pink! I don't really have much pink in my closet, so I was thrilled to find this little gem of a skirt! My daughter was taking some pictures of me . You cannot see a whole lot but that's ok I just think they look pretty neat! My kids take a lot of the pictures on my blog especially my son who is 7 . We really love being outside between 7 and 8 in the evening! It is just so beautiful out! And great for some pics;)

Company picnic 2013

 We went to  Jeremys company picinic over the weekend at an island! I just such a great place to hang out and have a party! The kids looove coming here and we love it too. There is a lot of fun going on with canoes, swimming, water trampilines, volley ball, good food! They have been having the party here the last couple of years, so much better in my opinion than a hot park!

Everyone loves that they bring you over on a boat. It just makes it feel more islandy..haha  and hopefully you don't fall in and get eatin by the crazy catfish! They acually have buckets of dog food that you throw in the water and watch then crawl all over each other! The kids just love it! But all I can think of is please no one fall in! You will be eatin alive! Some of those things must weigh 10-15 pounds! They are huge!

They had a guy there drawing these for everyone. The kids really got a kick out of that! This one is Tessa and her cousins. 

     It was a rough day... I needed a bottle of something to. Isn't it crazy how just hanging around out in the sun all day makes you so tired?
Can't believe it is July already! We are definitely going to be hitting the movies in the next day or so. Jer really wants to go to Despicable Me. We loove that movie! The second one should be great too!  We are also getting a new garage door right now as I write! I was not too thrilled about it at first, but our door has been falling apart the last couple of months, and so it was just time. I am excited though because it will have windows in it and will make the front of the house look better! So I am excited, but not too excited about what it is costing us. Home improvement jeesh...
