Favorites and goodies of 2017

Hello there! How was your 2017? So since I love reading about others favorites, I have had on my crazy mind lately that I wanted to share my favorite beauty&goodie favorites from 2017! I have to admit that I am not really good at finding things or products that I love. I don't know if I am just really picky or I just don't find much(do I really have that much time to spend in Sephoras today??) that I am really impressed with, but I was pleasantly surprised with the fact that I actually found some goodies that I have used for awhile and truly do love..so!

  

Here is a mishmash of my goodies. Ill start with the beauty stuff first.

I have been using this lotion for a couple of years now and it is the best Ive found for dry Colorado  skin!My most favorite lotion ever! I have always had dry skin and always put lotion on out of the shower or bath. This has a really nice light scent to it that I can handle.I love that it is more natural and has Shea butter in it too and affordable. 

  

I received a small sample of this Supergoop rosemary setting mist with sunscreen and used it up quick! It smells awesome and I love that I am actually setting my makeup and getting more sun protection at the same time. And I feel all fancy spraying it on my face maybe too...

I have started using Wild Bloom skincare in the last few months and love that it is made locally in Colorado by a aesthetician. I love the face serum for keeping my skin from feeling so dry. I have been using the day and night cream and am working my way to getting more but so far I am really enjoying them! 

I wrote a post a few posts back about my love for this polish!Dazzle dry is still going strong and have not used or plan to use any other nail color ever! This polish is about two weeks old and has barely chipped! If you want a chemical free polish, dries in 5 minutes flat (no joke!) stays on like gel polish,makes your nails healthier and removes with polish remover then this is your stuff! This is by far my most favorite beauty product ever! You will never go back to the maintenance of gel!

I feel like I have such a hard time with hair products! I have tried so much and am always disappointed or feel like it just is the same as the last product. But! I have been liking Living Proof and have been using the mousse regularly. It does not weigh my fine hair down or feel like I have anything in it. My hair does feel fuller too. Their dry shampoo is good too.

Have you tried Lipsense yet? A client of mine told me about it last year..what? It stays on all day?? doesn't rub off? Even stays on through lunch, coffees, kisses hmmm so yeah I had to try this for myself and see what all the fuss was about and got addicted pretty darn quick! It does stay on all day as long as you us it correctly and I love how you can layer the colors however you want to make your own colors! Too much fun! #crackfoyolips

The last few items that I love.... is this green tea. It is so good and does not leave that after taste it's the best green tea I have tasted yet. Although I'm sure when I make it to Japan some day that will change..lol

If you crave some chocolate salted caramel and want to try and be healthy about it..well try out these protein bars, Iam addicted and have to have one almost every day. Fixes my sweet tooth.

The last goodies here are some herbs. I didn't have the Rholoa but the Ashwaganda mixed with that has been great to help with anxiety! My Dr told me about these and they are the best thing I have tried so far to calm my anxiety. I really hate being on drugs, dealing with the side effects. So this has been a game changer for me! I love too how I can just pick them up at Sprouts. 

Last but not least is this Neem chap stick! You know how there is 53,567 chap sticks out there right? well put this at the top of your list to try because I have been SO IMPRESSED with this stuff! I have always had a really hard time with dry peeling lips. Then I pick at them constantly because of them peeling and its just this crazy nonstop issue with my lips. I had pretty much given up on trying to find something that actually would really heal them and stop the dry peelyness. I picked one of these up at Sprouts not to long ago as I was standing there contemplating should I really buy another one to try?? I picked the Neem one because there were hardly any left at $7 a piece and the reviews I looked up on it were great so needless to say my lips were changed by the next day..BEST CHAP STICK OF MY LIFE!I felt like within a couple of hours my lips felt so much better and by the next day the peeling was gone It evidently is also really good for those whose get cold sores..so I am waiting excitingly to get one of those too so I can really test this stuff out..lol

Best at home long lasting manicure with Dazzle Dry

Hi girls! Some of you may know that I have been a nail tech for almost twenty years, so when I run across something good when it comes to your nails you better believe I will let ya know! Problem is I don't run across much that knocks my socks off so to speak. I guess you could say I'm picky maybe..lol! But! I just have to tell you about Dazzle Dry!! I have been so sooo excited about this polish! Here is why..

First of all if you are looking for something that is healthier for your nails and that is more chemical free and vegan well than you need to try this out! I have always had weak and peeling nails no matter what I would do. I did notice that if I stayed on supplements for nails they did get a little better but not much. The peeling just would never stop and I could never get any length on them before they broke off. Its safe to say it has been a constant aggravating problem my whole life especially working in this industry. But since wearing Dazzle Dry in the last 3 months or so that has gone away! My nails are harder. They also don't peel any more and feel healthier! I'm thrilled!

It is long lasting! I"m not kidding when I say that it will last like a gel polish! I do use two coats of the base coat and my polish will last two weeks! I generally don"t keep it on longer than that because my nails grow so fast. I have never seen nail polish that will last that long! I have three kiddos too so I am busy and it does awesome! One coat of the base will last a week or longer and two will last 2-3 weeks! I would suggest trying out both and see what works best for you.

It is very FAST drying! Five minutes that is all! I love how I can do my nails before heading out the door and not have to worry about smuging them when I dig in my purse!#LOVE

I would suggest a couple of things. First this works as a system with the base, top coat and the nail prep.  It all works together, so doing so will get you the best results. The base coat needs to always look clear. If it starts to look cloudy run it under warm water until it is clear. It's good too to lightly cap the ends of your nails  on every coat. Please don't expect results overnight. I did not start seeing results of my nails getting healthier until after about 10 weeks or so.  My nails though needed a lot of help so if yours don't then you will probably see results sooner. I wore this weekly because of how well it stuck to weak peeling nails..so I was hooked!Lol!! I feel that this is honestly everything you would want in a nail polish! #mynaildreamshavecometrue  Have fun! Let me know how it works for you!

My favorite everyday lips

 I am always on the lookout for great new lip ideas that are easy, flattering and will go with just about anything! So I thought I would share mine today. I wear this just about everyday as my go too look that's natural and glossy! I am just not one of those girls that has a tun of makeup layin around, because more than likely I will not use it. So when I find something that works in order to keep it simple I will stick with that. Although I will admit that lipsticks and glosses are the one makeup goodie that I have a lot of! But I always go back to this combo.

I use a lip stain from MAC called Passion Preserved. I really like this color because you can put it on really lightly or more dark. I generally use just a small amount so that it will give my lips some nice color . Then I put over it Clinique's Black Honey lip gloss. (the lipstick in this is great too!) This lip gloss looks great over a lot of colors! I have also been liking this NYX color in angel food cake for a everyday look  that you could definitely if you wanted layer it over other lipsticks or stains. I do that all the time with a lot of my glosses. So what is your favorite daily lip? I would love to hear!

Monday manicure: OPI Sheer tint Be magentale with me

Hey there! I am trying my best right now to get these nails of mine looking more healthier, and while that is hard for me these days with three kiddos, sometimes the lighter sheer polishes do the trick without too much fuss!
I came across these sheer tints the other day and thought that I would try one out. I am really liking it! It is a top coat but I am using it for my color on my natural nails over my nail conditioner. It has a pretty good pink to it and would be even more pink with a second coat .These tints come in other colors too, orange, blue and purple! Happy Monday!

Loving my...

Ever since Drew Barrymore came out with her cosmetics line at Walmart, I have been wanting to try it! I am always looking for a mascara that does not cost a fortune! Because to be honest most of the time I am not impressed all that much with those either. Maybe  I have wacky eyelashes.. ? We stopped at Walmart on the way to Vail and I thought I would try some out! It was under seven dollars, and have been using it ever since. My mom also mentioned that she thought it went on as well as her expensive brand.

I also bought a polish too which I cannot find anywhere and will probably find it the minute I am done with this, but it is in the poppy color, I love it! I can't wait to get my hands on more of Flowers goodies! I am really wanting to try her lipsticks and glosses! Have you tried it yet?

Mirenesse Glossy Kiss

Hi there! I wanted to show you this lip pencil that I received in my Burch Box this last month. I don't normally go for coral colors like this, but I have been wearing this a lot and really like it! I have to say too it really stay on good also.

 

 It has been nice to have a new color for spring that I actually like! If you do not know what Burch Boxes are I receive one in the mail every month with beauty samples. It is great! You can also look at the new In Style magazine for this month and they have a article about all the different ones that you can get in the mail. I like Birch Box because it is only $10 a month and I generally get pretty good sized samples! So go get yourself some new color for spring that you have not tried before! You might just love it! My Favorite shampoo..Doterra SanoBella

 I thought I would share my fav shampoo today in case someone comes across this looking for something new!

I keep switching around and can never seem to find shampoo that I like even with the professional brands. It gets pretty aggravating since I dont like to mess with my hair a whole lot. Everything seems to weigh it down, or I have to wash it again right away. But here are the reasons as to why this is my fav so far.

  A little goes a long way. I hardly have to use any and only wash it once. It will also keep my hair from looking like it needs to be washed again for about 3 days sometimes 4! I really like that because I don't want to wash it much, I think it is bad for my hair. It smells great! It has essentials oils of lime, orange, lavender and peppermint! They will also last me for about 5-6 months! Yup! you read me right! Doterra is a wonderful company with wonderful products in my opinion and everything I have ever tried I just love! Zoya Natty polish

It is crazy with the snow around here! Kids are out of school today and we are not  going anywhere! I think it has not quit snowing in a couple of days.. so ready for the warmer weather but we do need the moisture. I just need to figure out what I am going to do with these kiddos today! So I thought I would share this color I picked up in California last week. I have not shared a polish color in a long time! It's by Zoya called Natty. I am not a fan of blue polish at all I have to say.. but this color is really pretty and different. I think a lot of blues just make you look pale and well I think they are just tacky..lol But this has a cool blue grey look to it! Should I even say I think it looks classy and cool and even a little unexpected? Yup. My mom kept saying to me ohh get that one! And she is a pretty classy lady.. So if you are looking for a new blue color definitely try this one out! Have a wonderful day!

my new ombreish hair..

I decided I wanted a little bit of a change for spring, but was not quiet sure what I wanted. I wanted a ombre in a way. So I ended up with this and I really like it! She just did some blondish foils underneath so that I felt like I had a nice change without going to much. She acually did an ombre, but we just did it light. She said there are so manys ways you can go about doing an ombre! 

It is hard to see it here I just used my I phone for pics. It does not look like I did much but maybe with some future posts you can see it better! I also got a keratin treatment. That was my first time doing that..have you done that before? Well here is my new week to new hair! I needed it! Have a great week chicas!

What I have learned lately about coconut oil..

I have the dryest skin.. I can remember putting on lotion every time I got out of the water since i was ten or so. But I guess that it does not help out at all when you live in Colorado and you take almost nightly hot baths. So about a year ago or so I was trying to think of other ways to moisturize my skin in a healthy non chemical way. Boy! some of the stuff in lotion I can't even pronounce and I am rubbin it all over me?

So anyways I started putting olive oil in my bath water at night and found that it did help keep my skin from getting too dry. Then a couple of weeks ago I was sitting there looking at my coconut oil thinking what if I put this in my bath water? Hey! What if I shave with it? Then I got really crazy and decided to put it in my hair and sleep in it for a night. My scalp has really been hurting lately. So I figure that is due to the winter dryness. It even says on the back of the jar that you can use it on your hair..I missed that

I have to say I love it in my bath water now and also put it in the kids bath water too for their skin. I have not not been using much lotion at all. And shaving with it is great! I don't even have to put lotion on after! LOVE IT! I even did a little research on the internet and found out that it is great for your hair and scalp. Your skin loves it. Great for cooking.It even has some natural SPF in it. So go get yourself some coconut oil! Hope you are having a great Thursday!

Put a lid on it eye primer

This last month in my burch box  I received this little sample of eye primer. I have never been much for primer because I guess it is just another step to the make up process. But I though I am going to try this out, and put it to the test!

Can you tell what side I used it on? Yup I used it on my right side and was impressed! I like to use this Bobby Brown pallet, and one of the dark browns I use as eyeliner, but it never stays on longer than a half an hour! With the primer it stayed put for most of the day! I was pretty excited! I know most of you probably already use primer and know this, but I just had not come across one that really made a difference to me. Do you have any that you love? 

Full of stripes..

Hi there! Well it is Monday.. we had a nice weekend not doing too much but did get the garage cleaned out! I was in a serious shopping mood. I actually really don't like to shop all that much anymore, but when the mood strikes I jump on it! I am not that really big of a shopper like a lot of people think. I just try to make different outfits out of what I have. And since we have this new fancy smanchy camera, we thought it would be fun to get going with it!

I had no idea you could have so much fun with editing your pictures on your Mac! Sheeeech.. it's called toddler itis. Ha ha!

I was walking past Express on Saturday and thought I would take a looky look. I don't normally go in there that much anymore, but evidently my Express credit card was dragging me in. I actually found some really cute tops! This peplum top and sweater are two things that I found. Isn't this such a cute top? Oh and by the way I got these snake print heels just a couple of days ago on clearance at Target for $9!! So you had better get your buns over there !Hope you have a fabulous week!

Victorias Secret Maxi shirt dress...

Hi there! Having a good end of your week? It's friday! We have been going through alot here lately..the stress has been a bit high ..lol. But hopefully this weekend will be nice! I am actually hoping to get a project done here around the house. I want to paint all the doors downstairs black! They are white and I wanna hide the dirt haha and every time I see black doors in someones house, it looks really nice :)

But I did want to show you this dress from Victoria's Secret that I bought on sale $40.00! They still do have it. I love long maxi dresses and so I though this would be a fun dress because wells it's a great price and I don't have a dress like it. I am thinking it could be worn all year long. I wore it with my new booties that I got from Anthropology's on clearance too

Butter London Fiddlesticks

I love Butter London polishes.. I mean really is it the cute lil bottle? The name? The fact that they make you think that they are made in some cute little boutique over in Europe somewhere? The awesome color choices? Now I have been doing nails for some time now and I just love their color choices! I have been buying them over at Ultas. They are pricey at $14 each but I do wait till I get coupons in the mail and then I will go grab one, or wait till the store puts them on sale.

This one is Fiddlesticks, and it reminds me entirely of ruby slippers on my nails! Pictures never quiet do polish colors justice! I have yet to try the base and top coat. Have any of you? I love too that they are a 3 free company. So if you are looking for some ruby slippers on your nails this is the ONE!!

Hi there! I wanted to share with you guys today this mascara that I received with my Birch Box for november! I don't know about you, but I am always looking for my perfect mascara. I really get tired of going into Sephoras asking them buying one then returning it. Ya know? Any of you do that too?

This is the Fibre Lashxtend. I was pretty excited to open my little box and see it, and that I also got a full tube of it!

                      It even has this mirror on the back of it for your touch ups! How cool right?

I am really liking it right now! I beleive the normal price for it is around $24. My lashes are long, but mascaras tend to make them clumpy. This does a nice job of seperating them and giving them length in a wispy oh I just had some fairies come do my eyes kind of way. Hehe! .I decided to have some fun with my new camera and see if I could get of few pics..

 Now I need to find the perfect eyeliner... ehh

J Crew Leopard print skirt and fancy smanchy heels!!

Hi all! I thought I would show you how I wore my skirt from J Crew outlet that I bought last week. Are those heels not fun?! I wore this Saturday to a special event, and received alot of sweet complements especially on my Target heels! I wore the skirt with a button up blouse from Express and a brown leather jacket with Stella&Dot bracelets. The skirt was on clearance for on $30!! So if you are around one of their outlets you had better go check it out! I love it!
