Outfit of the week..

Hey there! I am really loving this new baby doll top that I just got from Victoria's Secret for $19.99! That was a complete surprise! I just had to have it!  I can tell that it will be one of those tops that will be worn year around! It will just be too cute under sweaters for this fall! It has really sweet lace detail on the top. I just love love this scarf too! I wear it all the time when fall and winter come around, and it just goes with everything! I actually gave it to my mom wrapped around a gift box tied in a big bow, and she just went nuts over it too! But I guess I am a bit of an Indian giver and in a round about way it made it's way back to me..lol!
Well I am just pooped! Having three kiddos and trying to keep up on everything is really wearing me out lately.. so many things I want to do but just too exhausted. The last two weeks or so have been crazy to say the least! Jamison is just a horrible sleeper, and it is really taking its toll on us, some weeks are better than others, but hopefully soon it will get better. I am definitely wanting to work on my blog more when things settle down. There are things I need to do to it, but also would love your sweet thoughts on what you think I should do ;) I hope you have a fabulous weekend and thank you so much for reading!

Annual family kid pictures 2013

This last weekend we decided to try and get everyone together to take the kids annual pictures...3 adults and 6 kids does not work too well. The location was beautiful, but the kiddos were just in no mood to cooperate and help us out..lol. Jamison had hit his face into the desk and it left a huge mark. So needless to say we were not able to get very good pictures, but I guess you will have those years! We have been doing this since Tessa was a baby, so eleven years now this has been a family tradition! I am glad my sister in law has decided to keep it goin! Definitely more adults next year, definitely.

A little orange dress...

Seems like it has been a long week here! Jeremy had to work all last night on a new computer program for work and now we both feel like we are getting sick! We are really looking forward to the weekend so we can veg out and get some rest. We are having our annual family pictures tomorrow, and the colors my sister in law picked are orange and blue... (yuck) . But I was hoping that maybe we could get our family in for a full picture and not just the kids, so I was thinking about this dress.. so we shall see... Hope you have a great weekend too!

We are still here

Has it been a crazy week in Colorado or what? And no we did not float away and thankfully our area and home are fine. It's so crazy to be watching all this on t.v. all the time and then go out to the store and to go run errands and everything around you is fine and it seems as though nothing has happened..it still seems that way to me. For some reason when I see things on t.v. sometimes it's just that, not real life..is that just me?
I finally found a jean skirt last week..I have been wanting one all summer. Bout time is all I am gunna say about that. I have been in a funk this week..seems like everything I put on It just does not seem right, and I am standing there in my closet feeling like a moron. I put something on and I am standing there going "now well that's funky." Maybe it is because of all that has happened here this week, that is what is on my mind and all the people. Or It could be the serious lack of sleep that Jamison is not letting us have. He did not go to sleep till midnight last night then was up again at three..so if you are reading this going what the funk?, I totally get it

Camouflage and lace...

Hello! Hello! So you wanna know a little secret about these jeans?? They are REVERSIBLE! Genius!! The other side is black...so excited..two pairs of jeans in one..seriously made my week! This is my first time ever really wearing camouflage before, so I was trying to think of what I had that would be really cute to go with them. Yup a cute little lace crop top..but I have to admit all the time in the back of my mind I am wondering if a 36 year old should be wearing crop tops.. and then I got over it because this sweet little top has gotten some good use this summer and I love it! Might as well wear things that are you and that you love right? Just don't tell anyone I'm 36 k? Have a wonderful fabulous Thursday!

Avacado cream and enchiladas suiza recipe

Recently  I have been trying to have dinners ready every night, and have been planning a dinner list for two weeks! It's not that I don't cook, it's just that we eat out more than we would should and we get tired of it . Know what I mean? It's also expensive, and we would rather spend our money on other things. ( like a savings account ;) So I started with a goal to go to the store once every two weeks get everything we need and have a dinner planned for every night! So what better way to start than trying out all those recipes you have pinned on Pinterest? Besides that my sweet sis and her man always need some good recipes, so here you guys go!

We just tried this enchilada dish, and it was a huge hit! Everyone loved it, and Jeremy was still talking about how much he liked it the next day! It was really pretty easy too! Just throw your ingredients in the blend and pour over your chicken! I made some spanish rice to go along with it. Easy peasy! We loved it!

4 cups cooked and skinned shredded chicken meat (about 1 store-bought rotisserie chicken)
2 4-ounce cans diced Fire Roasted Hatch Chiles
½ medium white onion, diced
2 cups whipping cream
1 cup chicken broth
2 Avocados from Mexico
1 cup fresh cilantro, stems and leaves
1 teaspoon cumin
1 teaspoon garlic salt
1 teaspoon kosher salt, divided
Juice of one lime
2 ½ - 3 cups shredded Mexican blend cheese (or just Monterey Jack if you prefer)
8-10 7”-8” flour tortillas
1/4 cup chopped green onion
Instructions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
To prepare the sauce: Mix whipping cream, chicken broth, 2 avocados, cilantro leaves and stems, cumin, garlic salt, lime juice and ½ teaspoon kosher salt in a blender and mix well to combine. Season with more salt if needed.
In a large bowl mix together chicken, chiles and onion. Add half of the avocado cream and stir to mix well. Add more salt if needed (this will depend on how salty your rotisserie chicken is.)
Prepare a 9 X 12 baking dish by giving it a light coat of cooking spray and ¼ cup of avocado cream spread evenly on bottom of baking dish.
To assemble enchiladas: Place about 1/3 cup chicken mixture along bottom third of tortilla and top with ¼ cup of shredded cheese. Carefully roll tortilla and place it seam side down in the baking dish. Repeat placing tortillas side by side until you've run out of space. Pour avocado cream evenly over the tortillas and spread 1 cup cheese on top.
Cover with foil and bake for 20 minutes, remove foil and bake for another 10 minutes or until enchiladas are cooked through and cheese is lightly browned.
Garnish with chopped green onion, cotija cheese, additional avocado, cilantro leaves and salsa or fresh tomatoes.

You can also find the recipe and other good ones in my pinterest account labeled Get in my belly.

Jamison is two!

For some  reason I just cannot wrap my head around the fact that our baby is two now! Maybe it is because I had such  bad year last year and I was so sick and every thing just went by quickly, but We have had a busy two years it seems ,and I worry all the time he is going to be starting kinder garden next week! Lol!
He is pretty darn busy like any two year old little boy..Loves to be outside, loves to go on walks, and go swimming. His word for everything is dooyah..it's pretty funny. We just say that it is his own little language. He will say "hot" and calls daisy" dee".  Ben and him are pretty close. You should see the two of them kiss goodbye and hug each other in the mornings when Ben takes off for school... just so sweet!Wonder how long that's gunna last.. He is a really big daddy's boy too. You should see how he is when dad walks in the door or he see him for the first time that day. So when he will actually fall asleep on me or snuggle with me when dad is around, it's a big treat for me!
Time is flyin by, and I hope I can take in all the moments and just be present, and not worry about the small stuff. I am just grateful to have been able to stay home with him and all my kiddos and be there for them! Now on to the terrible twos!! Lol!

Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope you had a great weekend!

Royal blue leopard

Happy Friday! I think this weekend is going to get off to a good start! Besides the fact that the week just flew by and I am running on little sleep, I did mange to get a really cool new juicer ( more on that soon) and we have plans to hang with my dad for a car show tomorrow. That should be fun! I don't get to see him often, and he has informed me about this new muscle car that he wants so I need to go check it out with him ;) I have always been into old cars but have never really been to a lot of car shows. The heat here is still crazy hot in the nineties so I otta be sweatin my toosh off.

OK more about this outfit.. did you happen to get some good deals on Shoe mint last week? I was able to get , are you sitting down? Ok I got three pairs of shoes for $52 with free shipping! Yeah you read me right, so these heels that I have on were some of the ones I received. But I was bummed that after I placed my order ( a few days later) they sent me a email saying they were out of that sandal..darn...it. So it really happens that I only got two pairs of shoes. This was my first time ordering from them, so that part I was really not happy about. Have you ordered from them ? Anyways have yourself a great weekend and stay cool! You never know you just might see my flyin around in a hot rod..;)

My lil photographer

I took my little man and photographer out last night to see what we could come up with ;) It was a little darker out than I had hoped, but some really pretty pictures came out of it! Ben got all excited about the sunset and just started going crazy with the camera!

I thought I would share too some of just the beautiful sky! Ben was pretty certain that it was raining up over on those mountains, and sure enough we got it just a hour or so later! Smelling that rain was wonderful while I sat there regretting watering my lawn for the last hour.. that's just how it goes;) We have really been needing the rain! School was cancelled on Friday due to the heat in these parts and it looks like it not going to be cooling down anytime soon! So yes we had a four day weekend with the kiddos including a pool party on Saturday and a great picnic in the mountains by Estes Park! Really gettin in those outdoor activities I tell ya! It has been great! Jamison can't get enough of his stroller, and you should hear him laugh and chuckle as we walk down the sidewalk.... best thing ever...
Thank you so much for stopping by!
